I have a 2002 2.3 DOHC. The temp gauge is not working anymore. Some times it only shows 1/3 of what it really is. Other times it stays on cold. The heater still works fine. When I shoot the heater hose with temp gun it is about 160 to 170 degrees. I bought a temp sender. I was told it is located on the firewall end of the head. Now my question is how in the world do you get to it to change it? I can barley see it mu:icon_bounceblue:ch less get my hand in there or a wrench on it.
Thanks

Did you try cleaning the connector, they tend to get dirty. I've had the same issue on both of my trucks over the years and just moving the connector around to clean it up, usually solves the problem for quite a while.
