Temp Gauge problem!
ok guys on my 97' 4.0 ranger i am having a weird problem with the temperature guage on the dash...ok so i was having some problems with the truck stalling and such so my buddy's shop hooked it up to a computer and it showed that my engine temp was really low when the truck was warmed up...so they replaced the temp sensor that goes to the computer...then when they started the truck back up and drove it, it read the right temperature on the computer but the gauge in my dash stopped working? so they assumed it was the other temp sending unit that was bad so they replaced it and now the temp guage reads all the way hot on the dash? but the truck IS NOT overheating its just getting a hot reading some how? they tried a couple sensors from napa and even one from ford and cannot figure out why the temp shoots straight up to H after about 5min of running...anyone have any ideas?
