temp gauge not workin an fuses are good..

yea the title said it all lol i got a 98 ranger an the temp gauge aint worked since i got it im not to worried bout it ill just watch the oil gauge but fer safe measures id like to see where im at every now an then so any oppinions will be thanked

4 liter thermostats are the usual culprit for the temp. gauge staying on cold. I'd replace the stat and the sender for the gauge. I've never seen a gauge go bad on one of those but I guess there's a first time for everything.

The contact on the sender tends to get dirty. Clean up the contact and see if that helps. Have to do mine about twice a year.
