On my dads we just used metal brake line for the straight parts of the fuel system and fuel injection rubber line for the bends. Brake line cost $6 for 6foot of it. Just be sure to use the appropriate size ID for it.
 
hell i didnt think about that, they are definately good for the pressure lol. i even have one of those benders and fittings tool kits
 
i bought 6 'long 3/8" steel fuel line from autozone and did mine that way
but i wish that i just bought this aluminum hard line roll and bent them all out of 1 piece. the aluminum would have been easier to bend, and cut. and it is long enough to do it out of 1 piece
