Isn't this the same exact problem? Unless you have a replacement you are stuck no matter which you use.
If you had a extra module with you, say a GM type then you are stuck unless you had tools and even then you are stuck for a period of time changing it out if you do. If you had a extra DS box with you then its just a matter of less then 1 min and you are back on the road with no tools required. All I am saying that there is NO benifit to using the GM junk. There is NO performance gain to using the GM module, However there is a few benifits to using the Ford DS box like as stated above and that it retards the timing to make the engine start easier and saves wear and tear on the starter its self.
