Tbars "Squirrel"

so you pretty much have a 2'' more lift in front than mine right now which is why you can run the 32's correct? im fairly sure they would fit in rear no problem. i would probably end up trimming the bumper with 32's if that would make a difference

...Daniel, the 4wd Rangers have 2" taller coils up front and a 2-1/2" block in the rear stock..You better stay with the 31's...

...The current pics I posted today show the truck minus the 2-1/2" rear block..Those came off when I did the 8.8 swap and I now have a 1" fully welded pad block on there...

4x4 coils are actually 1/8" shorter than 4x2 coils. The 2.5 inches comes from the difference in the beams/knuckles.

..This is correct...Although my front springs had gotten a little softer and compressed, the coil seats add some height back...You would also be trimming the rear of your front fender...

...You may also have more inner rubbage as the guys who run 31's use 10.50 for width...32's are common as 11.50 in width...

alright then. 31's it is i guess till i can afford to lift it

...I know all about gearing, suspensions, and modding RBV's...I like my Ranger just the way it is, Thank you...

...Is there a link to the mod's on your Ranger??

not really

but i have
explorer axle 3.73s with l/s and disc breaks
1354m
3.73s gears
31s
explorer leaf springs
idk what else

...I was really hoping to comment in your thread...:(

...Now I'm curious...I have an X 8.8 w/4.10's...Why didn't you re-gear???

Truck looks good Tbars, I've always dug the reg cabs. The only thing is I would try to clean up the edges on that trimmed bumper some (make it look like it "belongs" like that). When I saw it over the weekend, I had thought things were missing off it or something and maybe you were still working on it lol.

And 32x11.50 tires should fit a stock truck with no more than slight rubbing IF you mount them on the stock rims. A standard-offset 15x8 will cause it to rub a lot more though.

...As in all projects, I am still working on it...

...What you are probably referring to is where the fenders attach behind the buper which also includes the mount of the inner fenders...In the future, it will be dealt with...With the stock bumper, it looks perfect..

...Do to being 4-5" lower than most of the trucks out there, it worked out perfect for the approach angle needed due to the terrain..;)

..This truck is the previous owner of the bumper and if you look close, it is missing the inner fenders so he was able to trim it up a bit...

...It is a little more noticeable on this Ranger as he kept his inner fenders...

wait so you think a 32x11.50 would fit a leveled 2wd? i was planning on mounting them 15x7 Alcoa rims.

That's probably what was giving it the unfinished appearance. Reworking that area might be all that's needed :icon_thumby:

It'll be tight on a leveled 2WD, but I would still say yes. I sent you a PM.

i love this thing, i looked all over for a 4banger 4wd. never saw a one so i went with the 4.0

mine is also a short cab short bed and black, id like to run the camper shell but dont know what i would ever do without the toolbox in the back

BTW, im the one who bought thunderhorse's ex back at the beginning of summer

...Thanks....I lucked into the truck...You know, I used to catch a lot of flack about the 2.3L...I wouldn't change a thing on this truck...I always thought I wanted a 4.0 until I recently got the lockers...What a difference they are...

..Now mind you, this doesn't mean I won't be doing more mod's or even adding a doubler...:)

I love the look of the reg cab trucks - so I bought one. I really wanted a canopy but a lot of the trails we run up here are tight and off camber and it would just hurt to ruin a nice shinny new canopy while dragging it along the side of a tree. So I am looking for a tonneau cover instead. Great looking truck

2.3's are where its at, but then again i am kind of partial to them by looking at my sig...
