Tax time overhaul?

Beautiful! Lmao. Now just remember how to put all those parts back in. I had to label stuff and bag it because its been apart so long.

Got the new O2 sensors, new clutch guts in, trans up and bolted, and t-case bolted. Exhaust, starter, driveshafts, and crossmembers to finish the bottom.

Once the bottom is done, gotta build the motor back up, charge the battery, and cross my fingers...

When installing the heads, my chilton's manual lists using an inch/lb wrench on my intake... recommended, or just go by feel? Most places near me aren't offering small enough wrenches...

I think it is a good idea. Depending on the torque specs, you can use a small ftlb wrench, just multiply the ftlb reading by 12 to get equivalent inlbs. I know craftsman makes an inlb wrench. Where have you looked?

I've found a few, but they are all 175 or more... the intake bolts say snug to 32in/lbs for the first turn. No way to do that accurately with a ft/lb wrench.

Check sears model number 31423. It is Craftsman 3/8" drive micro clicker torque wrench 25-250 inlbs. On sale for $63.

NO,No, No. Divide the in-lbs required by 12 to get the right reading on a ft-lbs wrench. My good Craftman ft-lbs only goes down to 25. My in-lbs goes down to 25 in-lbs. Hot Rod Mag just did a great comparison of Snap-On and the Harbor Freight version and they were with less than a 1% difference. May not use it every five years but it'll still be good.

Nothing too much sadly. Rain and being a CDL A driver complicate issues. Got my fan clutch off the old water pump just to decide to buy all new parts, and got the new qater pump set in. Might be able to get back at it tomorrow or Saturday.

Got the clutch masters swapped out, but I have a question on the line between the slave and master.... it's back in the truck with no extra kinks, but not exactly how it came out... will that cause any problems?
