I was thinking of putting some taller tires on my truck, just for the sake of driving a bit higher and making the truck look a bit meatier. I've got the stock tires (Continental, I think) on the stock steel rims. I don't think the sticky "what tires will fit my on my truck" thread has the info i need. what's the max i can put on? and how will it affect the ride?

you can put 32's and not have a problem as long as the offset is good, but your are going to have problems with getting moving, the 2.3 is really underpowered for larger tires unless you changer your gears accordingly

Looks like that one's just being more generous and offering sizes that have a greater chance of rubbing. 265/75R15 may fit, but I think they'll rub more than most people would want, and is why I didn't include that in the one here.

I'm running 225-75's on my '06 2wd with the 15x6 steelies. They're about an inch taller than the stock conticraps and about half an inch shorter than 235's (overall). You'll have no problems putting 235's on there. You could probably get away with running 30x9.5's on 7" wide wheels, but 235's wouldn't rub for sure.

I had 33's on my truck with no problems i also put them on my 94 with a 4 inch drop and they fit. hit the front shocks at full turn but the right offsets and they fit

i have 235/75 15 on my 94 2wd and they rub at full lock only when im turning left though. kinda funny.

im running 30x9.50 on a 15x8 3.75 backspace. no rub.
