Taillight Tint

ZMan is the best.

Got the lens Thursday. Will buff them up and install.

Thank You,
Ed

I got ZMan's taillights installed a couple of days ago. I really appreciate his help and generosity.

Just a word of caution for the forum. There must have been a production change sometime in 91 or the wrong lights have been previously installed in my truck because the sockets were clocked wrong.

It was really weird because the assembly part numbers on the front of the taillights are the same; but, back of the lights (the black part) was different. Thinner plastic and different socket clocking. I made them work by bending a bed side wall stiffener a little for clearance and winding nylon cord between the sockets and their gasket to tighten them against the thinner plastic housing. They didn’t go in easy; but, they went.

So a word of caution if you get a set of taillights from a JY. Take the sockets too. I am 99 percent sure the wire harness connectors are the same either way. IF you get them from an online supplier they may be different than what you have on your truck.

Ya that is weird, ford definitely changed their lights more than they needed to over the years apparently.
