I somehow manage to break my tail shaft housing on my truck. I was wondering If i could pull just the tail shaft housing off of any M50D and use it on my 4.0l M50D?

yup...just make sure it's got the bungs for the manual tcase linkage if you've got a manual case. Most importantly...it's gotta be a 4x4 if your trucks a 4x4. But I think that's a given. Can't use a 2wd tailhousing on a 4x4 trans. lol.

Ya, I know not to use a 2wd on a 4wd.... I have an autoish tcase... its a push button t-case but ive just been using pliers to turn it since the push button on my truck isnt functional... lol

tranny adapter

they fit and interchange without issue. My 86 Ranger had an electric relay oped t-case. I yanked a good "core" manual t-case with shifter, floorpan, boot vacuam hose setup, and linkage from the local auto recycler for $75.00. It bolted in directly and I just pulled the fuse for it and ziptie the motor wirirng out of the way. I also got the manual Ford hubs thrown in. You need them and the spindal/bearing locknut assembly, If you choose to go that route.:icon_thumby:
