Hello,

I am currently having a problem, my blinker light works, reverse light, and brake lights all work, but the tail lights do not come on when i turn the headlights on. Any ideas? I have checked the fuses in the power distribution box as well as the fuse panel and they are all ok.

dashlights and heater control lights still working?

TTT did anyone ever find a solution to this, I'm in the same situation? I'm thinking a ground short on the tail light harness, but haven't been able to locate one.

i had the same issue on my 93. i ran a wire from the power wire on the headlights (brown i think )to the tail lights. so whenever the headlights came on it sent power to the tail lights until i could get problem fixed. The fix was where the main harness and the tail light harness plugs into each other. one of the pins broke off it happened to be the power wire (brown iirc). i took the 2 wires at that plug. one went to the tail light the other was the power wire and i spliced it with the a male and female spade terminal so i could plug them up and unplug if i needed to also used heat shrink tubing to get a good seal.

Excellent post! I was just under there cleaning up the mess U-haul left me... maybe the brown wire splice is smoked. I'll take a look and let everyone know.

Thanks!

It ended up being the brown wire on the tail light harness! It ripped right out of the plug. I snipped it from the other side of the plug, and put a jumper wire in. Everything is working great now!

glad to hear that you got it fixed.. electrical problems can be a pain
