hi folks, so I bought a tachometer from Canadian Tire and it has the regular 4 wires, I have read a bunch of tutorials and whatnot online but I can't figure out where everything goes on my 86 ranger. I can't even find where to pass the wires through to the engine.

Does anyone have a similar ranger that can snap a couple photos of the various places I'd need to connect wires to?

I know this is asking alot but I just can't make sense of it.

Thank you

don't know about the wiring, but you should find a gasket sealing a hole in the firewall up and to the left of the clutch pedal. that is where i'm bringing in my extral wires for radio, cb, lights, etc.

Out of curiosity do you have a Manuel that didn't come with a tach? Isn't that the dumbest thing ever?

Yeah, should be a manual....

Most likely, the Red wire goes to ACC(power when key is on), the Black one is grounded, the White one goes to your lights, and the Green one goes to the negative side of the coil.

Hey guys, thanks for the tips...I will have another peek!
