tach re-pin help

1999 Mazda B2500 5 speed swapped to 2001 explorer 5.0 with auto. I repinned the tach with no success. I have read a few threads about the 4cyl needed the black and yellow grounded, still no success. I have looked over both my EVTM's carefully. can any one help? I have also swapped in the 2001 eplorer auto column and I have no turn signals. I have not dove into trouble shooting the turns, I suspect a relay or fuse. Thanks, Terry
