T5C Terramite

i have a 2003 Ranger with a 4.0 v6 and a 5speed with 4.10s and 265/75s. could i pull a terramite T5C it weighs around 3300 lbs plus what a trailor weighs could i tow this safely with my ranger need to tow it about 100 miles mostly flat road with some small hills wont be going over 50 or 55

As long as you know how to drive your manual, you should be fine.

ok thanks man i was told my towing cap for my truck is like 5000 and the trailor i will be using is like 900 so it will be maxing it out but i am going to give it a try and take it slow dont want to have to borrow someones truck

Yep, no prob. You will be better off staying in 4th gear, and not shifting into overdrive. At speeds that low, with a heavy load, the truck will just bog down in 5th unless you get up over 60mph..

The truck will do it just fine, it's YOU that might flub it up.

I pulled an Explorer with my 00 3.0 4wd 5 speed, from NJ.

I bet it's hilly there. Use 3rd and 4th, but get your speed built up by revving out 2nd.
Pull out with as little gas and clutch out as fast as possible.

Try to keep rolling if a light is ahead, slow way early using 3rd to decel and easy on the brakes. Plan WAY ahead for turns, lane changes, everything. Don't let other drivers bother you, go slow.

It'll take at least twice as long to stop as you might think, maybe more. Keep a wide gap from vehicles in front of you.

It's a chore, but 100 miles won't drain you too badly. I've done a few long vehicle hauls, be careful and go as easy on your clutch and brakes as you possibly can.

Please tell me you have a hitch, not a bumper and ball. These bumpers aren't known for their strength.

I would most definitely want a trailer with brakes, that is for damn sure.

I tow a 4800 lbs 24 foot travel trailer with my 05 sport trac 4.0L sohc, 4.10 gears and LT265/75R16 all terrains and it tows it ok....not great...but it does it. It is an automatic tho so that helps as well.

yeah i have a hitch i am hopeing the trailor it comes on has brakes on it i was told it should but they cant be sure that i will get one of the trailors that has brakes or not oh and to anwser the question about hitch i have a class 3

even surge brakes will be better than no brakes at all on that trailer.

Legally you can't because your GCWR is 7000 pounds. Truck weights roughly 4100 pounds, so that doesn't leave much room to tow. 3300 pounds plus trailer puts you way over that limit.
