Is a t5 from a 94-95 v8 mustang any worse to use then one from a 87-93. I know they run an inch longer but anything else. I have one for my 90 ranger v8 swap

Should be no differences other than what you described. Check the input shaft prior to installing to make sure the pilot snout is not different. If it is longer you can cut it down with a grinder and a cutting wheel.

Another difference is in the bellhousing. It locates the clutch lever clocked downward that may/maynot cause interference with exhaust or make mounting the slave more difficult. Someone at one time posted a good picture of that.

I didn't think about the slave and exhaust interfering. Ill set my headers up and see. I'm using long tube tri y's

With tri-ys, you will need to trim the starter bump on the bell, and modify the clutch fork possibly, as these pieces angle downward on the 94/95 bell.

I got a fox bell and trans now so its onward with the swap
