t-case question

I had a e-shift t-case in my 93 splash and the computer kept going out so I put a manual shift case from a 90 model in 'er. It's(manual shift case) pretty noisy and seemed much more wornout when I turned it over by hand. It also seemed that I read somewhere that the manual case has a 2:1 low range while the newer case(which was much quieter with less slack) has a 2.5:1 low range. So my question is, can I just swap all the internals from the 93 case into the older housing, and retain my manual shift? Are there any issues there, and if so what are they? Thanx a bunch.

For the most part yes, the internals from the e-case can be used to rebuild the other one. A few parts are different, so just look carefully as you go. IIRC most of the differences are around the shift hubs.

^ this.

-You will find that all of the shifting mechanisms are different.
-The 93 case should be a 6 gear planetary setup, where as the older one will be a 4 gear. You'll need to swap the whole front cover to match whichever you use, along with the shift fork and shift hub.
