Any one make transfer case gears for the rbv?

Like they do for samurais and yotas?

No, your only options are the 2.48 1350/1354, an atlas, or a doubler. No one makes an aftermarket gearset for the rbv cases...

I've been wonder that for a while, I have the 1350 with its ridiculous 2.48 to 1 reduction coupled to the stock toque producing 2.9 and stock 205/75s.

I would think 4 to 1 reduction should have been stock, along with a 2L setting so one could turn under load. Sigh

Now considering I have the manual shifted 1350 and a a yoke style manual shift (attached to a Toyo-Koygo 5-speed of unknown origin) can I make my B2 2.74 to 1 reduction? Some tech data here:http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/TransferCases.shtml

But nothing to suggest what would interchange or any twin stick mods?

As far as I know there are no options for rbv cases.

Sad day. Oh well just a thought.

Not really... A dual t-case is far more versatile than losing your stock 2.48:1 low gear entirely for something deeper (that ends up being either too deep or not deep enough for a lot of situations).

I much prefer my doubled cases to my Atlas for this reason (the Atlas is a little overkill in the strength dept. for this application anyway).

I don't find “1st in low range” to be too deep, because as a manual transmission I could select ”2nd gear low range”

I'm not against doublers, I just don't mind using all gears in low range. 4th (AKA direct drive) should be slightly faster than 2nd in H.

First in 4 low isn't always low enough especially if your on an uphill climb facing a ledge.

More than any thing this is just something i thought of because I never see it on this site and its almost in every yota or sami

An adapter can be made to adapt the yota case (or any case, for that matter) to the RBV trans, just depends on how deep your pockets are...

Swapping out the gear set in the transmission makes a considerable difference.

Find you a cheap low-mile 2wd/4wd M5 from a 2.3/2.5/3.0. Then just swap over the main shaft gears and the countershaft.

I'm really a lot happier with mine, though at times it is still not slow enough, but those times really just need a doubler.

I remember reading the crawl ratio numbers in plums build on that. So I have a a4ld... any possibility of swapping those over? Are they lower?

No. It's for manual trans only. Your info said manual so I assumed such.
