i am in the market for a manual 1354 my Q is when its just sitting on the floor is there any way i can tell if its any good or junk ???????????
i have been reading all kinds of post but have not run across this,so if there is a post could some one steer me to it or just answer my Q

Most you can do (without taking it apart) is run it through all positions while turning the input and output shafts, feeling for any roughness that shouldn't be there, and that it goes into all modes OK. If the fluid is still in it, you can check that for metal flakes, etc.
