So i made a comment in someone elses thread, about 'of course his truck has t-bars if its 4x4. But I got to diggin around to do mine and I cant find them. I have a 4x4, 4.0l xl model. Are there some models that dont have t bars one the 4x4?

since you got a 93, you dont have t-bars. they came in on 98

Thats what I thought, i was sure I was losin my mind for a minute there.

bad news too, now I have no front end options till I can afford the f150 springs lol.

You don't want F-150 coils anyways, they're stiff has hell. Might as well throw a chunk of round tubing in instead of the coils, about the same ride.

you can go with coil spacers. real easy to put in, cheap, dont change the ride of the truck. you will just need to adjust the camber a little so you dont roast your tires.

Washers are great for body lift, I wanna aovid that right now as best as possible, And ive just never felt good about coil spacers. I guess Ill figure something out. I dont mind the stiff ride, its just me anyways, and good worn coils wont be as bad.

Ok, so, I have the same question. 2000 Ranger, and I am unsure where the T bars are. I went looking the other day so I could try cranking em but, I wasn't very confident in what I thought were the T bars, they sat back a bit from the front axles.

The torsion bars are the two rod-looking thingys that go straight back from the front control arms to a crossmember. The adjusting bolts are in the crossmember. Info is in the Tech Library.

Lifting your 93 will probably be a bunch cheaper too. At least it's 4x4 so you can actually find parts. I can't find squat for mine.
