Okay, I know. Advance Adapters used to make the adapter for this BUT I do not have the luxury of going back several years in time and getting this new.

For my fellow Ranger brothers out here, please try to rack your brain and help me a bit.

As from the title, I have a new mid-shift T-5(built to handle 650tq) that I want to mate up to the original BW1354 (or would it be better to mate it up to an Atlas II or IV?).

What is the best way to do this with what we now (2012) have? Custom brackets to mate the two together?

I'm sorry if I come across as a smart-a$$ but I'm so far behind in this project, I'm about to set fire to it. I'm sorry.

Thank you for any help you can give an old soldier. - j

Worst case, and still hard to find but cheaper than the adapter kit if you can find it would be a divorced t-case. I'm not sure if AA makes anything to mate the T5 to an atlas or not...might have to call them on that one. I didn't see anything on their site. If they don't it's not as easy as making brackets. You need an extension housing to mate the case to the trans. And from there a correct sized and splined output shaft to made to the t-case. As much as I don't like to bring bad news you are in a tight spot with this one, they parts just aren't there like they used to be. Keep your eyes open for a used adapter they pop up time to time but you are going to pay pretty good for it. If nothing go old school and use a divorce mount.

Looks like I need to fab up my own extension housing and do lots of tig welding. Thanks for the help! - j :icon_welder:

Well, AA quit making that kit for the T-5 because they couldn't find any good Jeep tail sections any more. There was a lot involved in just changing the T-5 internally to get it to work with the Jeep tail section. It wouldn't be too hard to duplicate the adapter with a good machine shop.

the s10's came with NP207 Tcases with the T5. The manual has a 21 spline output and the same pattern as a NP231. This opens up alot of possibilities as the Rubicon Tcase, Some Dodge Tcases and alot others will fit the s10 tailhousing.

Or you could get the Jeep NP207...I think that has the same spline and bolt pattern.

Slap in a SYE kit and you'll be good to go lol...
