I have an 88 ranger standard cab, 2wd 2.3 turbo with a t-5. The previous owner put the t-5 in it, so I have no idea what it came from or what driveshaft I have. My problem is that there is some play between the trans and the driveshaft because it does not fit into the transmission far enough. What driveshaft do I need, or do I need mine lengthened? Does anyone know how to do this swap or have info on t-5 transmission driveshaft lengths?? I read that the shaft should stick out of the transmission just over an inch with weight on the springs, mine sticks out 3 inches... I cannot find any info on this online, maybe it should be put in the tech section if we figure this out.
Thanks!
Thanks!
