Is it worth it for me to get sway bars on my 88' ranger? Do they Really increase the handling as much as they say?

On most cars yeah, on Rangers not really. A lot of people here are fine without them.

I was running an '89 STX 1 3/16" front and a 1" BII rear on my '90 2wd and they made a HUGE difference in handling.

Depends on a lot of factors. I use them, my truck is short course racing, my b-II is 90% street driven. On the work truck I would say they are essential.

+1! I have a Ranger 4x4 1 1/8" front bar and BII 1" rear on my 06 Ranger, I would say the difference is night and day, except that doesnt even do it justice! DEFINITELY worth the upgrade if you want your truck to handle ALOT better and be "tighter" overall.
