What do I do with the sway bar. It seems it doesnt fit. Do I need to make a new braket for the sway bar or move it? I have a 3/4 djm drop. Help!! Thanks fella's

What isn't fitting about it? I have an aftermarket bar on mine that is bigger than stock and still have no issues.

Problem #1= Sway bar bracket bolt hole doesnt line? I am just drilling a new hole. Might make new braket later. Hole just needs to be about a half inch lower.

Tie rod is in the way. Tried both over and under. Same result, but seems to make more sense to be over the top of the tie rod.

Tie Rod Extension Bracket??

Some people have flipped their sway bar with success. I did turn the connections on my tie rod ends so that the bolts were not in the way. You can loosen the bolts on the clamps and rotate them out of the way w/o issue. Also, with the drop coils, the bar will have a bit more tension on it. You could try jacking up the one side from under the beam. It may let you then bolt up.

Thanks bud, i just need to modifiy the bracket so i can get it bolted to the beam so it wont lift up. Thanks for the help..

I had a similiar problem when I lowerd my 97. The bracket wouldnt line up on the bottom and sit flat on the front, I took the die grinder and took out the metal I needed on both sides and it works fine. It is a bitch when a bolt on kit doesnt fit quite right and nobody else has had the same problem as you, I know where you are coming from.

What did you do with your sway bar?

i broke a bolt head off there and ended up snapping that bracket in half where the big ass bolt holds the spring to the i beam...it sucked bc i kept hearing it clank around..finally took it off...no sways in back or up front...no handling issues other than the occational vear on uneavenly wore pavement like where semi's have pressed it in to much. i'm just to lazy to take that side back apart and replace it...i think i'll just tack weld it to the ibeam and call it a day (when i get off my lazy ass long enough to do it)
