sway bar links

are the front sway bar links on a 96 ranger made of plastic? i was down there replacing my power steering lines and happened to notice something cracked, went on line and figured out it was a sway bar link. both sides are broken. Is there any replacement alternative than these plastic ones?

anybody at all? I cant imagine its doing much for me with both of these broken, but i dont want to replace them with somethings thats just gonna break again

alrighty. do they tend to break or do they usually last pretty good? They seem like they should be made out of metal or something

Use links from a 2wd '94 Ranger or Mazda

The links on 2wd are the same length, metal or plastic. I know this because I removed a set from a '96 B3000 to retrofit urethane bushings onto my '94 Splash without removing the existing links first. I found a '96 Ranger in the local junkyard but the links were, as you know, plastic BUT are the same length as the metal. You can't use 4wd links front or rear, they are too long...

Can't you just make your own or cut down a pair from a b2 or early ranger.
