i have a 95 ranger with a 2.3 in it and i have a 94 with a 3.0 in it.. the 94 is getting a 5.0 and sas so the 3.0 will be comming out

i want to know how easy is it to swap the 3.0 into a 2.3 truck

from what i understand on other swaps i basically need ALL the wires.. computer, all harnesses, etc.. is there anything special i would need to do? or will the swap be basically a plug n play swap?... oh the tranny from the 3.0 is going in to so nobody say the 2.3 tranny wont bolt up.

thanks

I have the same questions. I have a 1993 3.0 and 5spd with only 33k miles from a flipped/rolled truck that I am looking for another truck to put them in. The only ones I have found so far, the bodies/interiors are ragged out already.
I have seen several possibilities but they are all 2.3l so I was wondering what all would have to be swapped. Several say the wiring harnesses, but do they mean just the ones under the hood or the ones that go from under the hood through the firewall and up under the dash or what?

I think the either the tranny or bell housing are different between the 3.0 and the 2.3, not totally sure though.
