Are the two transmissions the same size? I know the bellhousing is removable from my truck to transplant onto the FM145. Will the drive shafts be compatible?

My truck is a stock 84 b2 with the TK4 4spd manual. Looking to swap in a FM145.

Thanks, 84BB2

I believe they are the same length, I did the same swap and everything bolted up fine. You should just use the bellhousing from the FM145.

FM145 is longer. You'll need drive shafts from an FM145 truck.

conflicting answers..... I'll just have to get under and measure. My 4spd is getting a little noisy and 5spd would be easier on my clutch.
