I'm getting ready to put in my built 4.0 and had a few questions. Do I simply bolt it in connect all the wires and turn the key or do I have to bleed the injectors, if so how? I just basically want to figure out what I need to do.

is your avatar pic your truck currently with 4inch and 3 inch body? cant be right? just curious. im about to go your path as i dont feel like rewiring for a 5.0...

same 4.0?

if its a bolt it its a bolt in....

just cycle the key 6-7 times or ground the fp wire in the eec code connector to prime it and fire it up. use oil and break in according to builder instructions...

I't had a locked up 4.0 and i'm putting in a different 4.0

same year?

are you using your intake and sensors?

if your putting your stuff on a longblock you should be good to go:icon_thumby:

otherwise you need to make it that way.

I'm transfering all of the fuel system from the old block to the new block. I'm not sure what year the new 4.0 is but it isn't a soch its a push rod ohv just like the old one.

put it in, hook up all the wires, exhust, ect: and trun the key 2,3 times, and check for leaks

Sounds like its just a bolt in and turn key.

Its more like bolt in, cycle key a bunch, crank the piss out of it, wait 30 seconds, then fire it up.
