Alright I finally got a manual TC :headbang: but now I have another problem the rear yokes are different.. so u think just swap the yokes.. well ford made the damn yoke to small to fit any kind of socket.. i think its a 1 3/16 but it doesnt fit in far enough to get on the nut.

I really really really want to put this in and junk the E-TC. anyone have any ideas how to get this off? Thanks!!

buy an el-cheapo socket from the parts store and take your favorite grinding tool to it.

Try a 30mm one? Mine fits in there just fine.

Ford released a thin walled 30 mm socket for just that. But as suggested, grind a regular 30 mm socket to fit.

so does mine, with no grinding. but different manufacturers have different thicknesses on the walls of their sockets. some will fit and some wont. my master set was from crescent.

Mine's a "Husky" (Home Depot brand IIRC)

Craftsman 1 3/16 worked fine for me... The trick is not to use an "impact" socket. The standard sockets are the one that fit.

30mm wouldnt fit in and 29mm wouldnt fit the nut.. the 1 3/16 would fit in but wouldnt go all the way down the marks in the yoke show you how far it went... i was at an auto store and they let me try all the sockets i wanted impact or not i couldnt find anything the fit... i just want to make sure what the right size is before i go buy a 15$ socket and grind away.. thanks for all your replys i really want to get this in

Get this socket. I used it to remove the yoke from my 1350.
