swap 4.0 sohc out for 5.0

Can I plug the 5.0 engine harness into the 4.0 engine bay Body harness? Will this work? I don't want to swap out the body harness if I don't have to 97 motor into 98 truck the abs is totally different don't want to swap it out to match the 5.0 harness.

Short answer is no. The plugs are the same, but with minor differences in the wires themselves.

But, adapting the two plugs to match and "fixing" the few wiring differences is a far easier path than trying to swap the whole engine bay harness with even more differences.

Ok not terrible news but not a plug and play can you walk me through the differences? A little repinning or splicing?
