anyone run swamper bogger tires? im thinking of getting a set for winter driving but am curious how long they will last bein driven on the road mostly

I bought a brand new set for my 79 F250, Given the truck is kinda heavy but I bought some wide 38s with a decent load rating and I didn't get any wear outta them. I'm talking they a almost bald and they have less than 4,000 miles on them. It was a complete waste of $1300. Furthermore they suck in the rain and snow unless it's a foot deep. They go great off road and in the mud. I wouldn't advise buying boggers unless you don't plan on driving the truck much, or you only wheel it unless you like to buy tires every 6 months.

Agreed. Boggers wil not last on the pavement. Buy a set of spare rims and use them off road only. I usually use a good set of All terrain or Mud tires on my daily driver for the snow.

well atleast you would have a reminder when to change your oil, haha

Bogger's under a cummins excab long bed didn't last an oil change, even rotated every second tank of fuel......buddy has too much money and tried it for shits and giggles. Now he runs Military Michelins, 325/85R16's.

thanks guys for the info, i didnt think they would last long but thought id ask.

Swamper bogger tires usually do well for swamping and bogging. Not so hot on anything else. As far as wear goes, Imagine how soft a tire it could be since it only sees goop.

i have run every interco tire out except the iroc and trxus AT, i stay to the TSL radial they are awsome on the road,[ maners whyz] last along time, really good on snow and ice and kick ass on the trails. the other tire i like is the trxus MT same as above but quiter on the road. i like boggers but they SUCK for daily drivein, not ment for it. good luck on the tires.
