I use Firefox too, and the ads stopped showing up after the last update...I didn't add anything (like add-block plus)...
But I was getting only Chevy ads...and I've never searched on Chevy, but I did search on Suzuki recently for a starter (only $420 at the dealership)...
Hmmmm...not sure...but I get plenty of dating service ads and I'm not even looking...and I don't surf, smurf, or splurf porn sites...

You can allow scripts on a site per site basis, which is how I can still view sites like ebaumsworld and youtube. It is annoying the first week or so setting up exceptions in No Script, but once it's done it remembers what sites to allow through while blocking sites you don't want, like double-click, ect. Can you say reduced adware and spyware?
Hmmm... maybe its just me. I just get ranger ads and auto insurance and that's it

I was seeing Honda ads, then Suzuki and Ford ads.
I don't think the ads are to intrusive at the top of the page.
I hate the forums that have big ads down through the middle of topics. You scroll down the page and run in to a big ad in the middle.
It use to be that the ads came from content that was on the page the ad script was on.

That's one of the main reasons I really like this website...
And the fact that we don't use the banners...I've been to a few other sites and I remember trying to sift through banner and comments...I got so annoyed that I haven't been back to those sites...not that they don't have good content...just hard finding it...
