I used to have a 1994 ranger with a 6" skyjacker lift. It worked great for wheelin, but a little stiff on the street. I am now have a 1997 ranger and want to lift it to fit 33-35" tires and still want a smooth ride while on the street, because it will also be my daily driver. I am eventually going to make this a full time wheeler, but it will have to be both for a little while. Any suggestions? Lift kits? Gears? Anything to point me in the right direction.

i would do the 6" skyjacker lift again but maybe use a different shock that is a little softer on the side. as for gears everyone is going to give you a different answer. i got some 4.56 that will work for 33s or 35s. but some people think you should have 4.88. as for daily driver i think 4.56 are pretty good for gas mileage and if you ever need more torque use 4lo. you cant beat having a skyjacker lift for the rangers. it is pretty much the best lift you can get for rangers esp for a daily driver.
