i am going to be lifting my truck 2 inches(coils prings and lift blocks). i want to know if im able to leave the stock shocks on there with a smooth ride. and how much travel they get stock

you may be ok with the stock shocks depending on whether or not your still runing sway bars. i put skyjacker leveling coils and skyjacker 1/2" coil spacers on the front of my 94 and i only had 1-1/2" of down travel left before the shock became fully extended. i would say put the lift on first and then jack the front up one side at a time and measure the distance between the front shock stud and the shock coil spring tower when its compressed and then place the jack under the frame and take it up until your suspension is at full droop and then take a measurement. you now have the parameters for the perfect shock length, though youll probably have to compromise dimensions when you actually try to order the shocks. im using stock length 1994 fullsize bronco front shocks from a dual shock set up. they gave me more than enough down travel without bottoming when at full bump. hope this helps, even though it was not a simple yes they will work or no they wont.
