Suspension Lifts vs. Body Lifts - Which is better?

If nobody buys them new nobody buy them used either.

Trucks never have been cheap, Rusty was worth a lot more than $600 when he rolled off the line without even accounting for inflation.

NADA still values it at $1,800 low retail. I essentially stole it for $600, it only needed a tune-up and a back windshield when I got it. Original retail was $6,834.

It is only worth what someone will pay you for it.

Mine was $1200 14 years newer in 2000 when I got it and it is 4wd with an intact slider rear window.

$6800 sounds cheap but when they were getting doing good to get $3-4 bucks an hour it was still pricey.

No offense but I am pretty sure I could pick up a 2wd Ranger at least 10 years newer for $1800 around here...

But then again it all depends on what someone would give them for it. Two years ago last fall my uncle had his 5.9, 4wd half ton Dodge 1500 with 160k miles sitting on the main drag all fall and winter with $5500 in the window. He gave up and put on a spring consignment auction. Two guys wanted it bad and he got $14k for it, he was laughing because that is what he paid for it 10 years/100k earlier.

This is true. I was just stating what it was officially valued at. Realistically if I sold it as is, I think I'd get $1,000, maybe $1,200 on a really good day. If I only got $800 for it I wouldn't be shocked, disappointed maybe, but not shocked. Luckily for me I have no intentions of selling it. Rusty is my first truck and I like it way too much to get rid of it. If I totaled it tomorrow I'm not so sure I wouldn't go out there with a hammer and try to beat it back straight.
