Hey guys. Iv decided to go with the 5.5inch superlift for my 1990 ranger.was wondering what your opinion on it was and if there are any issues with driveline angles. I have the 2 piece rear drive line. Also any other parts I might need or recommend. brake lines?

Have you read thru the suspension reviews post at the top of the section here?

Welcome to the forum, by the way

If your truck is a Supercab, a swap to the later 1-piece rear driveshaft generally makes things go a lot more smoothly.

Some info here:

Front driveshaft should be fine.

My preference has long been for Skyjacker's kits, followed closely by James Duff. Both these kits seem to have the strongest components by far. Tuff Country makes a decent budget-minded kit if the above two are out of price range. I continue to see a lot of cracking problems on most other brands of lifts.

Other than the driveline Is there anything els I would need ? Brake lines etc?

I think a majority of kits do not include brake hoses because Ford made a couple changes over the years on Rangers. So you'll need to get the correct part number hoses for your year.

To be sure though, look up the contents of the kit you're interested in on the manufacturer's web site.

Another item I recommend is Skyjacker's pt# FA600 drop pitman arm. The arm that comes in most kits sucks (doesn't drop the steering down far enough leading to problems with handling and tire wear).
