are there any supercharger kits for the 4.0 OHV other than the Thomas Kinght kit? ive been thinking about adding one for awhile but i have only seen the Thomas Knight kit.

There used to be a BBK one but that's been out of production for a few years now. You could always find one used. What most guys do is just fabricate an adaptor to bolt it up to the lower intake manifold and then use an M-62 off a GM 3800 or an M-90 off a supercoupe or xterra or something. There's not much to it really.

i beleive summit racing has a supercharger kit for the ford 3.0 and 4.0l... not sure though check it out.

would a stock motor be able to handle the thomas knight kit?

Everything I've heard about Thomas Knight is that they are crap. I'd stay away.

stay away for knight. I should have a kit out early summer for the 4.0

glad to know that. i would be pissed if i dropped 4 grand on it and then realized it was junk

does anyone know if stock 4.0 internals can hold a nice supercharger?

if the tune is good, the internals are supposed to be good for about 8psi....robert ray on RPS is running 333whp and 373wtq with the m62 w/m and nitrous at 9-10psi on a stock internal engine...but had doug from bama chips tune it, i think.

and i have put 6psi through my m90 with no cooling, but i think i burnt through a piston or two cause i wasnt making close to the power i was expecting

explorer express has one for the sohc if your looking for one for the ohv the tomas knight is all there is unless you make your own

did anyone on here try to run the Thomas Knight kit

ive seen pics and dyno sheets of that kit after it was installed somewhere b4 and a hair dryer has the same output best bet is to get an m90 and custom build if you want to do the super route. t3/t4 hybrid for turbo apps if you want to go that route. make sure you do the math on your fuel and such and get a general idea how the whole setup will go b4 attempting it tho.
