supercharged 4.0

ok i would like to supercharge my 4.0 but cant seem to find anything on one for a 93. what chargers can i use? thunderbird? idk, any info would help alot

ive thought about doing the same thing. all i have seen is the m90 supercharger. there are a couple kits they talk about in the tech library that use the m90 but from what i have heard they arent that great of superchargers.

Yep - Paxton used to have kits out for the early 4.0's - easy way to hit 200 rwhp with only 5-6# of boost. I had one on my 88 Ranger GT with the 4.0 swap and it was a blast.

Still got another new kit out in the shop.

There also used to be a BBK M-60 kit out and once in a while a used one will show up on eBay.

Same for the Vortech kits that used to be made for the 4.0 - no longer available, but a used one will surface once in a while.

There are kits available for the SOHC motor - you can go to the Forced Induction section of the other Ranger site and find the info on that.

The OP was wanting to know about availability of kits for the OHV.

we have been working on a basic kit for the OHV 4.0 but there have been set backs I am able to start working on things again.

IF I had the $500+ in my pocket I'd be real tempted.

But considering I've already snapped my transmission
output shaft without a blower...

I do have Borla's on the engine but I really doubt
they make that much difference...
