Has anyone had problems with rear window perimeter seal leaking on 94 Supercab with sliding window assy? Headliner was stained form moisture, I assumed it was the highmount stoplight. Now that I have the headliner and trim out I see saltwater stains and water tracking between the window surround gasket and the sheet metal. Think I will take the cap off, and R & R the window assy and re-seal with some butyl tape or putty. Thoughts on the subject????

Take a silicon based sealant and go around the entire perimeter of the window gasket; both inside the cab and outside the cab. That should help keep any moisture out, except of course, if the window is open:icon_twisted:.

Thanks. Took it out tonight, looks like it had a bead of butyl "calk stick" arount the frame from the factory, pretty dried out. Think I will run over to the glass place tomorrow and get some of the butyl sealer, then follow it around at the edge of the opening with your suggestion of silicone.
