I'm looking at getting another RC truck. I was looking at either getting the Summit or E-Maxx Brushless. Which one do you prefer, I want something a can bash and go offroading with and I already have a Stampede Vxl.

Since you have a Stampede, and that is one of the ultimate bashers, I'd go for a Summit. The Maxx is a better basher than the Summit, but the Summit is more capable in nasty conditions. You would have more of a broader range of trucks.

the emaxx is based on the maxx platform and the arms like to brake off alot. the summit is based off the revo platform and they are one of the best bashers. they have the inboard shocks that are aluminum bodied so those dont blow out. ifyour looking forsomething to beat on and not replace alot of parts then id go for the summit. but the emaxx brushless are extremely fast with the right batterys. so if you want speed get the maxx and the summit if you want to bash

I've had four maxxes of various types, one was a regular e-maxx. I never had issues breaking suspension parts, and I used to jump my t-maxx off the 2nd story roof of my house. Only change was aluminum big bore shock caps on the stock plastic shocks to keep them from blowing up.

My brother has the maxx and he's braking arms and shocks all the time. My cousins revo has only broke one set and that was 50 mph into a mailbox post.

Wow. He must do some impressive driving!

Get a Summit and put a brushless combo kit in it. Best of both worlds right there :D

Agreed about the Maxx... Mine broke easily 5× more often than my Summit, and it's still got the original Titan brushed motors in it too. The Summit (Revo chassis) on the other hand seems to take a lickin' pretty well.

I'm defiantly getting the Summit. The Brushless conversion won't come for a year or 2, I want to make it FPV, and i have to save up for a 302 swap for my Ranger.

I had an e-maxx and loved it, but the summit looks way to sweet to even make this a competition.

I see you made your choice, but I would pick the E-maxx. I had an older Titan 500 EXL one, and I loved it. I never had any suspension problems with mine either. Plus I see the Summit as more of a crawler than anything else.

Jeez! That bitch has a long radio reception range lol!

So is an FPV where you mount a video camera on the R/C and have a screen on the remote control?

Yeah pretty much, or you use video goggles to make it look like your really in it, and a transmitter and receiver for the video
