Succesfuly DD Exc. Cab With EB coils?

So I know a lot of people have run EB coils on BII's and Explorers but has anyone had success with them in a Ext. Cab ranger and what are you running for shocks and steering?

I have 3.5" lift EB coils left from my old BII project and am trying to figure if I could use them on my '97 trouble free with the correct set up of course or if I should just save myself the trouble and get Skyjacker Ranger coils?:icon_confused:

A lot of guys (myself included) have used ~240PPI Jeep Cherokee coils, though not on a Supercab truck, it's primarily been on BIIs and std-cab trucks.

EB coils with about a 300PPI rating should be almost an exact equivalent to the 240PPI on lighter trucks, which should be ok for a DD. I'd probably suggest a dual shock setup though, especially being on a heavier truck.

I was thinking dual shocks or heavy valves Bilstien 5150's, I might give them a try since I have them laying around, I wanna address the steering first with a Stonecrusher set up first. Thanks for the input

Good idea.
Having a proper steering setup is going to be mostly what makes or breaks it on the road, the softness of the coils would come 2nd to that, shocks 3rd.

The Stonecrusher kit is a good choice, which should work great with 4" lift and a standard drop pitman arm, though if you decide to go 6" on your lift, I would still suggest getting the Skyjacker FA600 drop arm to go along with it just to keep the draglink side a little more level (less side-side bumpsteer).
