im wanting to put 2 10" subs behind the seats in my regular cab. can it be done without having to cut my cab or having the steering wheel in my stomach? im thinking just a really thin box

I've seen it done, you need a speaker that requires very little air space.

you're most likely going to have to do thin mount subs, and a wedge box (wedge box is absolutely needed)

also remember you have to have room for your amp somewhere... either underneath your seat if you have clearance, on your box, or behind your seats where the box isn't at.

it's possible, search this forum for regular cab set ups.

Yeah. thats what i'm doing as soon as i get my freaking sub and amp from the postal service!!! Ive been waiting a week and they should be here by friday. I bought the 10" kicker cvt shallow mount. They should be able to fit nicely back there. I'll post some picks once i'm done. My truck is an 86 ranger 4wd 2.9 REG CAB!!!!

ive found some subs at walmart that are supposed "truck" subs. only problem now is $$$:shok:

i had 2 10" pheonix gold subs with a crunch 400 watt amp pushing them in my standarb cab. theyll fit, just need to make a wedge box. pretty simple. too much bass for me, (bench seat0 but with buckets i think they would rock. not sure what seat you have tho.

i got bucket seats. im probably going to buy all my stereo equipment at once (headunit and all) more than likely from walmart, just cuz i dont have a well paying job & i have a $75 ticket and $150 to pay for court supervision.....damn those mini vans that pull out in front of my driveway....:annoyed:

go to www.sonicelectronix.com shop around and when you see what ya want. check it out on ebay. youll save a lot, just make sure the seller has good feedback and see what kinda warranty he offers.

if i were you, i would just do a single 12'' sub inbetween the seats. but thats just me.

just thought i would throw in some input but Best Buy sells slim subs for i think 150 but they are about 3 inches thick and pound like no tommorow.

Yay! Got My Cvt And Amp Today. Still Waiting For Wiring But I Should Have Pics By Sat!
