Last October I was involved in an accident.
I was driving home on a tornadic evening. It was still sprinkling from the bad weather and the roads were wet.
I am crusing along at 65 in the F-250, when out of nowhere comes a Ford Taurus Wagon from the lane to the left of me, goes into a sideways slide right in front of me. I stood on the brakes, but I ended up nailing her right in the side.
She had no control at this point and slammed head first into the median wall and then back out into the roadway and I almost hit her again, but since the ABS was working, I was able to steer away.
Long story short the impact busted the bolts on my grille guard and shoved it back into the driver side fender and left a crease right behind the headlight. For how hard I nailed her I was AMAZED!
She had no insurance, was drunk, the car was not hers, the tags did not belong to the car, and she was also busted for posession.
It went to court and she has been paying me restitution payments for the $650 estimate I had on fixing the fender.
Have not gotten a payment in a couple months, so I called in, come to find out she is on the run with a Warrant out for her arrest for failure to show up to her court hearing...
She still owes me over half!!!
So who knows if I will ever see the rest of it!
