So i get to work this morning for a live unload truck which means we have to get it done fast so he can get to the next store.... needless to say it took A LOT longer then it should have. basicly he screwed up and put it on the wrong side of the dock so he had to move it over so our rollers would be able to reach the truck. not sure what he was thinking but he raises the landing gear just enough for it to roll and thought he could pull it out. as he proceeded to pull it out his truck got to the top and the landing gear bottomed out. instead of backing up and raising the legs higher he just kept trying to yank it out. after a few trys he finally gets out and goes to raise the legs..... they wont move so he has to call a wreaker to come out to fix it. and in a insane laspe of genious before they get there he takes and releases his truck from the trailer and pulls out its still in the center of the dock on the ramp and is loaded floor to ceiling wall to wall with our stock so as he truck comes out we hear the loud bang as it comes off his truck and slides down the dock a little. long story short the wreaker showed him how to move it LOL and we were able to get it all done good thing we had a second trailer to load the other stores items on.

here is a pic when he got stuck

When I was driving for IJ, I backed a 54 footer in to the bay at Mountain Spring Water to back haul a load home. We got loaded and the other driver got in an proceeded to drive up on to the retaining wall like he didn't see it. I'm like dude, what's your problem! Moral of the story is every trucker now and then has a brain fart! LOL

hehehe i have a recent story....

on to a lane that goes from one interstate to another and has a on ramp from a major road. i was just transferring from the interstate this section is 2 lanes. this trucker was coming on the on ramp with a yeild. instead of having to slow down and or the driver stop i made a lane change as it was clear.

the damn driver gave ME the bird. i got off the gas and let the truck get in my lane in front of me. i change lanes back to my correct lane and drive next to his door and write down his company name and the number on his trailer.

once i get home i google the company and gave his BOSS a call. I told his boss exactly he did , his boss said he WILL have a long talk when he gets back.

moral of the story. if you have a name on your truck where you work drive like a saint.

BIG LOTS! LOL

Rangered06, you like your job? IMO Big Lots...

HOW do they survive? The stores around here are much, much worse than a ran down Kmart..... in the worse neighborhoods in town with crappy parking lots.

Who knows what AWESOME DEAL you will find? I sometimes hit up Big Lots to round out my trip. There's a lot of crappy stuff in there for sure, but you can also get low prices on perfectly good big-name items with damaged boxes.

But I just can't help myself to think how they survive with such a crappy store, actually shit. They remind me of the days of "Ben Franklin" stores.

I supose it depends on the store management. I have been in some rough Big Lots, and some very nice Big Lots. Just like I have been in some rough McDonalds, and some really nice McDonalds. The one in Marion is a little on the rough side, however the one in Powell is really, really nice. I have purchased so much stuff at Big Lots that it is crazy.
