Stupid question... Why does my truck lean to the left

I have a 5.0 in mine, so I think any origional engineering there is moot, Lol :D

Same thing with the 5.GO's they are built centralized as well.

Its trying to be all ghetto and gangsta.

Like so:

I want you to stop... and think about what you just said.

5.0's never came in rangers

and 5.0's do not 'bolt in' to 2wd/coilsprung rangers, only 4X4's, My brackets are custom made, there is little/no ford engineering in the placement of my engine :(

I never did a carfax to see if it was in an accident... is it possible the frame is twisted from that broken leaf spring being on the truck so long?

That seems odd cause the axle is LOWER on the right side when the truck is up on a lift *Level* which makes me like 99% certain the frame is straight and its a suspension issue.

Maybe it leans to the left because it's a UAW product and it supports unions? :D

They did come in the Explorers which had the same front subframe as the Ranger, I didn't catch yours was a custom 2WD though.

5.0's don't "bolt in" to any RBV except the Explorers. 4x4 5.0 swaps are FAR from "bolt in"....... ask me how I know. :icon_thumby:

It leans to the left to counter balance the lean of the road to the right. If you ever looked down a highway, you may notice there is a lean to the right of center (in the right lane). This way, the Ranger drives level.

But seriously, I think its do to all the weight being on one side. Battery, most of the controls, gas tank, driver's weight, and electrical wiring. So, who wants to be first to weigh the weight distrubition of each tire?

Hey dont know when this thread was last hit on....

BUUUUUUT...i just finished my 63” chevy spring swap, using the 3 spring and over loads (cut the overloads 3 1/2 inches front and back of the center bolt 7” long) to basicaly be a 3/4” in spring lift block. Finished the shit and set it back on the ground put the bed on.... IT WAS LEVEL!!!!! i about cam and did a happy dance, went to grab a beer, came back and it was leaning... :annoyed:
Bolted my shocks back to the axle, IT WAS LEVEL! :yahoo: , went to grab another beer, and it fell again... :bangheadonwall:

My thought was, if the frames not bent, since im going to make new rear hangers (to help meet the new toyota leaf sprung SAS height) and bolt them onto the frame in stock location, i would just build the driver side one the 1 1/2 lower then the passenger side, this pushing the whole frame up to compensate. Does this make sense? should i do it? :icon_confused:

Rangers are heavier on the left side than the right, so they sit lower on the left than the right.

I just put new Explorer coils in the front and used Explorer leaves in the rear... it still leans left.

Is your fuel tank full? A gallon of gas is around 6 lbs IIRC. So a full tank is like a smaller person sitting there. A 20 gallon tank is 120 lbs full.

I'm looking at mine... It doesn't look like mine is leaning.
