Hi everyone i just recently acquired a 1994 four wheel drive ranger with a 4.0 v6 5spd manual. The 4wheel drive wasent working so i took the front hubs off and cleaned them along with the spindles. While i was putting them back on i noticed i couldnt get them to sit flush with the rotor. The one side would sit a little bit higher then the other.

Are automatic hubs suppose to fit compleatly flush with the rotor? If so do i need to rotate the cam washers on the spindle or something?

Thanks Greg

they will line up and sit flush...

try to "clock" the hub by taking it off and rotating it 1/5 turn....eventually the splines will meet up and it will sit flush....

Mine didnt sit flush when I checked mine and come to find out there is a ring inside with teeth on it 3 or 4 depending on your hubs and if reversed my hub wont flush up to the rotor, i flipped it iover so it was flush however its still busted cuz that ring aint supposed to be loose apparently. either way hope it helps.
