As many of you know, I'm working a temp job right now at a book printer/ Christian book distributer.

We ship all of our stuff directly to customers and deal with returns.

Today the boss got a real doozie: A customer sent him an e-mail saying something was missing from the order. It's no big deal except that the order was dated June 21st!!!! It's now Sept. 2nd!!!! The customer was somewhere in Indiana (I think), so if the order was recieved the 21st, picked and shipped the 22nd, then the customer shove have recieved it by, at the latest, June 25th (assuming our standard use of UPS Ground). Why would they wait over two months to tell us something was wrong???

Now, we picked the items in the order again, and weighed them. The weight was within a 1/2 lb of what was shipped to them!!! NOTHING WAS MISSING!!!!

Gotta love stupid customers...

i see way too many of those at autozone. people have actually gotten angry with me because i dont know what kind of engine they have in their car

when i worked at autozone there was this woman would come in at least twice a month, have us pull no less than 15 parts out of inventory for her car, then bitch about the price and walk out without buying anything.

Today i had an African(A company imports them straight from Africa >.>). Anyways, he was returning a T-Mobile phone. He wanted an AT&T phone and i was like..this won't work with your sim card, its a different carrier. "K" So i ring him up, and spent 5 minutes asking him if he wants to buy minutes with it..and of course he doesn't understand me. He has a buddy that speaks pretty good english, but with a huge accent. So i was like..whatever, and i had to have him sign for his refund. I was like "signature". THE GUY DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO SIGN HIS NAME! He signed it "DA10J" or something like that.

He then returns it a couple hours later, and goes "it no work". So i look at it and it has his T-Mobile card in it..i was like, where is the card that came with it? So he goes and gets it. I start to put it in and he goes"i want this one" i told him calmly that it won't work because its a different carrier. He goes off on me because he bought the wrong phone, after i told him it was the wrong one! I looked at him and i go "Heres your money back, have a great day". He then leaves.

This is the first time i have really got mad at work. This just hasn't been a good day at all!

yeah i work on copy machines, and customers get pissy when i tell them they need a regular maintenance part.
when i first started there, this happened to me at a church, and the secretary told me i should be ashamed of myself when her copier needed 2 pieces within 2 weeks! haha

gotta love customers :D

Her brother used to come to my store all the time.

I feel your guys pain. Had a whole family flip out at me today because their non Canadian credit card didn't work for a cell phone activation.

Seems like whenever anything goes wrong, it's always your fault. Ever notice that?

Customer - "This thing I bought from *insert company name here* doesn't work, it's your fault you sold it to me!"

im glad i dont have to deal with people at work... i just couldnt do it.

Yeah, that's what I like about working with patients... they try not to piss you off when you work with their IV and come close with medical supplies.

This is why I am a technician and not a service writer. Because I would tell stupid people to **** off.

i have worked in customer service for a wile. i work for an auto chain called vip auto in northern new England. and well one day wile working behind the counter this woman comes in and is ranting and raving about this crappy part that "I" sold her. she was pointing at me and said that i sold her this crappy didn't work part. she slams her part on the counter and slams her return slip on the counter, i looks at every thing and i tell her in a nice way. I am sorry mam. But I can not take this part." then she starts ranting and raving again. calling me a stupid ass. blah blah blah.. Once she shuts up i show her the return slip and the part and it says NAPA. she gets a red face and walks out with out saying any thing. i tell her have a nice day and i get the bird. that is my favorite one. :)

I work at a gym and we close at seven on saturdays, im the sat closing guy. so a couple weeks ago im locking up at about seven fifteen, i lock the doors to get back in from the pool area and lock up the rest of the gym. as im getting ready to leave i hear this banging coming from the back. turns out a lady had been reading in the back corner of our pool area and i had locked her only way back into the locker room. she took another fifteen min to get changed and them came out and told me how she was freezing out there and would have had to call the cops (its summer in socal) so i reply, ma'am there are two emergency exits by the pool and what were you going to call them on, all you had with you was a towel and a book and you shouldnt have been there past closing, its not my job to keep track of time, its my job to close the gym. she tells me she's going to complain to my manager on monday so i said ok go for it. he told her the same thing i did. haha i win.

LOL,

I work in customer service as a inside parts sales rep for a industrial pump distributor. Most people I deal with are fine, since they are maintenance guys or engineers. However when a reseller calls you (someone who wants to sell it to someone else) its a pain in the ass. They always want the cheapest dollar..

As far as returning things late...Yep, I get that alot too. They get pissy with the 35% restocking fee that comes along too!

2 funny stories.

Used to work at a Best Buy with a hardware store next door. We would always have people come in with lumber, toilet seats, plants, etc and want to exchange them. When we would say they were in the wrong store, they would get mad no one told them.

Had a guy (who apparently was drunk in the middle of the day) come in and buy a fridge for delivery. Came in the next day, said he did not remember buying this and needed a refund

.

I had a guy come and report his underwear were stolen from the locker room one time. lol

Had another one happen today. Early shift. We have a step aerobics class at the gym and they use a plastic "step" to do the workouts, apparently the one a lady was using had a crack in it, but it still worked fine. She came down and threw this step at me over the counter, these things are a good three feet long and a foot and half wide, almost hit me but i moved and yelled at me that it was broken and walked away. Our manager found out and revoked her membership. haha

And then another lady came down and complained that she could smell the food from our cafe (which is downstairs) in the cycle studio upstairs as if there was something i could do about it.
