Stumpy 2 (Build-up)

I would love to. Hopefully I can get it all swapped over before then! My schedule is really busy this week so progress will be slow.

Okay. Got the tranny/transfercase in, clutch, and all the pedals. Wahoo!

Though, I have a couple electrical connections left over that go to the auto tranny...

Can anyone identify them?

She doesn't turn over either, most likely because of these. I think the solution's easy, I'm just overlooking things. (spent all day in the garage)

And I have a mystery switch? Does anyone know what this does? I've never seen one there before. It's right next to the back hatch. Maybe something the last owner installed? I'll follow some wires I guess.

maybe to turn on the dome light?

Is there any extra lights on the truck that could possibly be hooked up to that switch?

correct. And for it to start, you'll either need to jump the neutral safety switch wires which are in that big one, OR (the cleaner way) is to swap the harness that goes to the transmission, that way you'll have reverse lights too.

Did you plug in the clutch safety switch located on the clutch pedal? The wiring should be in your dash for it.

Do you know which wires need to be jumped in the neutral sensing switch plug?

The BII looks good BTW.

Thanks guys. I figured that's what it was for.

Is swapping the whole harness hard? I'll have to look, that seems like the cleaner way to do it.

I did connect up the safety switch on the clutch.

That is one clean BII!!

Cant wait till she's all done, it'll look killer!

Okay. Swapped the harness for the auto solenoid and neutral safety switch.

It is done! (well, the 5-speed swap at least)

Here are some pictures, she drives really well!

you can find that in the wiring diagrams in a Haynes manual, I believe its the purple wires, but that was over a year and a half ago that I did a 5-spd swap on my old longbed.
