So, I found my motor today!... and a beautifully clean 90' Bronco II to go with it. The only catch is that it needs an automatic tranny. No problem cause I have a good manual tranny in my 89' Bronco II that needs a motor.

So I am in the process of swapping over the auto for the manual, then all the suspension and wheels/tires.

Ended up picking her up for $400! :D

Going to scrap the benches for my racing buckets.

Heres the donor rig... Stumpy #1

Only parts of the drivetrain left on her are the axles.

And what better way to pull two dead BII's around the yard... grab mom's volvo!

So, got all the carpet out and the passenger racing bucket in. Started swapping the steering column and pulling the pedals to swap.

So instead of just putting the good engine in your B2, you're swapping everything to the other one? Body damage reset? :D

lol, that's a good way to put it!

I've really been wanting a fresh start... :D

It'll be nice just to go through everything again and fix mistakes I've made in the past. It'll be more work, but I'm already in love with the condition of the 90'.

That 90 have a D35? Yeah, I can't wait till I do my 4.0 swap, I'm just gonna try and tear everything apart and fix all the stupid annoying crap all at once.

That's exactly why I'm doing this. More practice I guess too. I feel more comfortable when I have touched all the bolts, when I know I am the one who put stuff together.

No D35... :no2:

It's a late model 89', listed as a 90' on the title. Must have been right before the switch. I had my fingers crossed when I went to look at it, I'll swap one in later though for sure. I already have an 8.8 that I'm building for it.

It's funny though, I don't feel like I should be trusted with such an innocent BII!

Damn, that's lame... Don't feel bad, I tore apart a really nice sploder sport, down to cutting the core support out, price was right though :D All it needed was a good M5OD to be a really clean driving rig but I'd rather have the sploder parts in my B2 than set up the sploder to go wheelin.

Oh, I've gotten over it. I'll just have to get that whole first dent thing over again. I plan to build some nice bumpers and sliders for it though, I've learned that they are really important for the tight trails around washington.

I would have loved to have done a 4.0L swap, I would have but I came across this first. Manual transmission explorers are pretty tough to find...

How come there is so many people in washington yet i seem to never here bout them coming to hellfair "belfair"

I go out to belfair all the time! I'm actually a member of the Quadrapaws 4x4 club based in silverdale.

Yeah im part of two clubs, Redneck innovations, and the power line offroad, but both arent like ur kind of club just groups of me and my buddys just wheeling for fun lol, yeah silverdales like 45 min from here and my truck doesnt leave belfair "it cant go over 45"
