Stuck Disk Brakes

Hey all, thanks for your help, I redid all 4 brakes, drums in the back disks in the front. Left rotor replaced and both calipers replaced, right rotor was in good shape. Two questions:
1. Brakes seem to work fine, however the left front seams to lock up under heavy peddle pressure. Normal braking is fine, but under heaver braking (more like an "almost missed that turn" stop, not a panic stop) it locks up until I let off some pressure. No other wheel seems to do this.
2. I felt like my drums were adjusted correctly barely touching when i put the tires on, and when my wife would hit the brake (on stands) I could not turn the drums. Now that I have it on the ground how do I know for sure the drums are actually working. Just wondering if all my braking is in the front.
