Stroker 3.0

Has anyone ever used a Stroker 3.0 kit? I found one on the net and wondered if any one had ever used one. If so, what were your thoughts on it??

I have never used said kit. The ones I have seen do not increase the engine size very much, and are costly as hell. I would do a 2.3 or 4.0 swap before spending that much money. To each his own. shdy

the one i found made it a 3.3 and i work at an engine shop so all the work is free so i was just considering my options.

Two grand for 18 more cubic inches is a bit much for my tastes. The crank is still cast, and only the rods and pistons are forged. If you can do the machine work, I bet you can put together the rest of it for a lot less, however these are specialty pistons and rods for the increase in stroke, and possibly may be very expensive as the demand for these items would not be that great. shady

yeah thats it. i was hopin to find just the crank somewhere becuase i can special order the other stuff and get a discount.

the results insignificant
and trhe frustration infinite

And for the price you could EASILY swap to a 4.0.

Or TRADE your truck in on a 4.0 and probably come out ahead.
